In June, 2005, my husband and I decided that we would consider buying a house in our hometown of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, for relocation back there within the next 2 years. I mentioned this to my sister who had recently visited Rocky Mount, N.C., and had herself looked at some model homes. She told me about a real estate agent that she had met while looking at those homes, and said that this agent seemed very nice and that she (my sister) had gotten a business card from her. Well, my sister gave me the name of a Ms. Phyllis (Cookie) Watson, and said give her a call and see if she can help you guys. I decided to call her and ask about the homes in the Rocky Mount area. Ms. Watson was such a joy to talk to that we hit it off right away. I felt like Id known her all my life. Cookie and I talked about the type of houses that wed like to see and the price range. She sent us some houses via email that she pulled up on her computer and we chose some of those and made an appointment with Cookie to go to Rocky Mount to see them. When we met Cookie, she was everything that we had imagined as we talked to her on the telephone.
Well, we didnt find a house that weekend, but, Cookie continued to email us houses that fit our itinerary, and within a few weeks we were again in Rocky Mount looking at houses.

We can never thank you enough! We had a house that stayed on the market for over 500 days with
another realtor, an elderly relative, and rapidly mounting nursing home bills. Everything seemed
to be a problem and then--we asked a local Realtor to do some research and recommend a realtor in
the Rocky Mount area who would work with us.
Within a couple of days, we got a glowing recommendation with your name and number. This
was absolutely the best news we could have gotten. From the first day we spoke with you, we
began to feel some degree of hope. You began to market the home, you kept us in touch with showings and movement of real estate in the area.
The rest is now history--the home SOLD AND CLOSED in less than two months. We walked away
with more money than we expected and our problem is solved. You have been respectful of our

For the past year Cookie Watson has marketed the home I grew up in. The home was unique in that
it had a grandmother suite and a large yard full of plants both my parents and grandmother had
collected. My mother designed the home after years of research. The home was built in 1957 on
my grandmother's old farm home site and included some materials salvaged from it. Cookie shared
our love of the home and yet was objective enough to suggest improvements, upgrades and pricing
that eventually brought just the right buyer who could love and appreciate our home place.
Through a less that perfect real estate market, Cookie was persistent both with her marketing
and encouragement. When an offer was made and a short deadline to closing presented, Cookie went
